Bell Inducted into National Senior Hall of Fame

Mike Bell of Indianapolis was recently inducted into the National Senior Amateur Hall of Fame. He won the 2006 USGA Senior Amateur Championship and the 2006 Indiana Senior Am Championship. Bell has been very active in the Indiana Golf Assoc. and the Evans Scholarship Program.


The tournament championship was won by Ron Carter of Monticello, a 56-year old long ball hitter who beat Logan Jackson of Winston-Salem, NC by one stroke.


Frank Wrenn, III of Greenville, SC had the lead most of the final round but relinquished it to Carter with bogies on holes 12 & 13, and a double bogey on No. 15 to finish in third place.

Ted Smith and Mike Bell were tied for 5th.
